There is no right or wrong way to do web design. How you design your website is ultimately up to you, but some tips can drive your design in the right direction or help you obtain the look that you are trying to achieve. But still you want more idea you can attend web design based online classes.
#1: Make sure that every page on your website is offering something of value. You should be providing compelling content or something of value on every one of your web pages. This may not relate directly to the design of your website, and yet it is actually a whole lot more important than the design of your website. Basically, pages with no real content are a waste of space and effort.
#2: Avoid any sleazy elements that might distract the visitors to your website, such as scrolling text or blinking text, auto-loading music or sounds or images that are automated. These things are distracting and are either going to keep your readers from actually viewing the important elements of your website, or they are going to chase your readers away from your website outright. Readers that are assaulted by these unwanted elements are more likely to leave than stick around and see what your website is all about.
#3: Avoid using popup windows. Nobody enjoys popup windows, so you need to stay away from their use whenever it is possible to do so. The only reason that sites have popup windows in general is because they want to bombard viewers with more information, and this is largely a selfish act that you are going to want to avoid. Do not use popup windows on your website unless there is a situation where you absolutely have to do so, otherwise the results can be unwanted.
These three tips are just the “tip” of the ice berg when it comes to website design. What tips can you come up with on your own?
